About this blog

This blog is my take on some of the various parenting controversies and OneTrueWayisms out there. It is not intended to be the sort of parenting advice blog that tells you what you should or shouldn’t be doing; rather, it’s intended to debunk some of the myths put about by other people who want to tell you what you should or shouldn’t be doing.  I hope some of it will be of help to bemused parents trying to figure out the many different pieces of advice out there.

If you have any questions you yourself want to ask, either about anything I’ve written or about anything you’ve read elsewhere, do please feel free to ask them.  If you want to disagree with anything I’ve said, please do.  Just do it politely – rude comments will be judged on an individual basis and you better believe I’m reserving the right to delete them if I feel appropriate.  I want to keep the atmosphere on this corner of the Internet pleasant and civil.  If you’re OK with that, feel free to express your dissenting opinions to your heart’s content.  And, of course, if you want to tell me you like anything I’ve written, I’m quite happy with that as well.
